 Grozny city hall’s employee is again the winners of All-Russia Competition “The best municipal employee 2009”. His name is Ahmat Dzhamulaev, the chief of housing and communal facilities department of Grozny city hall. The winner said: “I think it is not only my victory, this victory is of Grozny city hall and local governing bodies as well. This victory doubles my responsibility and makes me work harder for the welfare of our republic.”

 About 30 000 saplings will be planted before the end of this year by order of the Chechen Republic President Ramzan Kadyrov. The Chechen president thinks it is important to acquire former Grozny city’s reputation and to make it the greenest city in the Northern Caucasus again. « We plan to make Grozny the most beautiful and the greenest city in south of Russia. Grozny is already the most beautiful city in the Northern Caucasus, but we want it to become the greenest one too,”-R.Kadyrov said. Kadyrov called on the local population of Chechen capital to take part in “making Grozny green” (i.e. to plan saplings).

 The President of Azerbaijan Ilkham Aliev held a meeting with the Chechen Republic President in Baku. Ilham Aliev declared himself satisfied with R.Kadyrov’s participation in Baku formal events. He noted that the Chechen President’s visit to Azerbaijan gave the excellent opportunities to discuss their joint prospects. Having fully appreciated the centuries-old friendship of Azerbaijanis with Chechens Ilham Aliev said that his republic kept up with what’s happening in Chechnya. He emphasized the necessity of finding new ways of developing their bilateral economic relations.

International certificate goes to Grozny airport |

 IAC (MAC) has given Grozny airport (the Chechen Republic) the international certificate. According to RIA News, this decision was reached after checking and evaluating the airport’s airworthiness by IAC. The first international flight will be made from Grozny to Saudi Arabia.A number of passengers of this flight are going to make a hajj. Seven flights will be made from Grozny to Saudi Arabia for those who plan to make a hajj in prospects. So, local people of the Chechen Republic can henceforth fly to Mecca. ‘Grozny-Avia’ is the operator of the airport. ‘Grozny-Avia’ was found in 2007 by the Regional Social Fund named after A.-H.Kadyrov.
