Kadyrov Akhmat Abdulkhamidovich Print E-mail
ImageHe was born on the 23rd of August in 1951 in Karaganda City of the Kazakhskaya SSR. He was an Honorary Professor of the Chechen State University and the Modern Humanitarian University (Moscow).

The Kadyrovs returned to the Checheno-Ingushskaya ASSR in the village Tsentoroy of the Shalinsky region in April 1957.

In 1968 he finished Bachiurtovskaya secondary school. In the same year he took combine operator coursers in stanitsa Kalinovskaya of the Naursky region.

From 1969 till 1971 he worked in the rice growing sovkhoz “Novogroznensky” of the Gudermessky region .From 1971 till 1980 he worked in the building organizations of Non-Chernozemie and Siberia.

In 1980 he entered the Bukhar medrese on the permit of the Gudermesskaya Council Mosque. In 1982 he continued his studies in the Tashkent Islam Institute. After graduating from the Institute he worked as a vice-imam of the Gudermesskaya Council Mosque from 1986 till 1988. In 1989 he founded the first Islamic Institute in the North Caucasus in the village Kurchaloy of the Shalinsky region and he was its rector for a year.

In 1990 he entered the shariat faculty of the Amman Islamic University. He interrupted his studies and returned to his native land due to the events in 1991.

In 1993 he was appointed a vice-mufti, and in September 1994 an acting mufti of the Chechen Republic. In 1995 he was elected the mufti of the Chechen Republic.

On the 11th of June 2000 he was appointed the Head of the Chechen Republic Administration by the Decree of the Russian Federation President. In 2001 he was awarded to the Order of Friendship by the Decree of the Russian Federation President. In 2001 he graduated from the economic faculty of the Management and Business Institute in Makhachkala.

In 2003 he defended his thesis for conferring a degree of “A candidate of politological sciences” On the 5th of October 2003 he was elected the President of the Chechen Republic by the general voting 403,490 electors voted for A.A. Kadyrov and it makes 80.84% of the total electors’ number. On the 9th of May 2004 he died tragically during the terrorist act on the stadium of “Dinamo” in Grozny City.

Akhmat Abdulkhamidovich Kadyrov was given the ranks of a Hero of Russian Federation (posthumously) by the Decree of the Russian Federation President # 606 on the 10th of May 2004 for courage and heroism displayed while the revival of the Chechen Republic and in the fight with the terrorism. On the 11th of May the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin personally gave the Hero Star to the son of the President of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov for eternal keeping.
