These days the Chechen people together with Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov have been worrying so much about the boxing match of such a high level which took place for the first time in Grozny. Zaurbek Baisangurov is the intercontinental champion (WBA). Zaurbek Baisangurov was fighting against the well-known American boxer (Nigerian by birth) Eromosole Albert. This boxing match was named « The Champ Comes Home». The well-known boxer Vladimir Klichko’s said that such boxing tournaments will be held in Grozny fairly regularly. “I’d like to thank the Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov for his inviting me to this excellent sports event. Sport improves a person and it is useful for our younger generation. Such boxing tournaments will be regular in the Chechen Republic. I and my brother Vitaly will do our best for this purpose. This boxing should be setting a good example for all boys who are here today,’-Vladimir Klichko said. Naturally, the boxers studied each other before “the duel” but only a boxing ring showed who the winner was. The American boxer Eromosole Albert was a hard nut to crack. It was very interesting boxing. Baisangurov had a distinct advantage over his opponent in the sixth round and the American could hardly continue his boxing. Boxers were tired in the tenth round and Eromosole began to panic. Taking photos or something like that worried Eromosole and he stopped his boxing for a while. His behaviour caused the public great discomfort and annoyance. So, the judgment moment came. Zaur Baisangurov was the top-scorer and became the intercontinental champion. Eromosole deserves a deep respect. He was a serious rival. After it, Zaur Baisangurov was decorated with the Order of Kadyrov. Ramzan Kadyrov personally presented the champion with the Order and said that the winner would be given a new flat in Grozny.  - Today Zaur Baisangurov gave us the excellent opportunity to be proud of our countrymen. Our republic will prosper if it has such men as Zaur. Zaur, I wish you every success!’-R.Kadyrov said. Besides it, the well-known Chechen businessman Ruslan Baisarov, who had also thanked Ramzan Kadyrov for such a magnificent organization of the tournament, promised to give the Chechen boxer 300 thousand dollars. The boxer in his turn thanked Ramzan Kadyrov, Vladimir Klichko and other organizers of the tournament. Vladimir Klichko presented the Chechen President with his own champion’s belt at the end of the sports evening. We’d like to note that this sports event was dedicated to the birthday of the first (former) Chechen Republic President Ahmat - Hajji Kadyrov (the 23rd of August). www.chechnyaTODAY.com
