Agriculture is one of the Chechen Republic’s top priorities, the Chechen Republic president said at his meting with deputies in Grozny today. «Of course, agriculture needs investing. However, a rational way of investing in agriculture development will make significant profit. I do not agree with those who think that agriculture is the unprofitable sphere. Anyway, it is one of the local top priorities. Most of the population was employed in agriculture before. That’s why it is important for us to revive and develop our agriculture. Agriculture development will significantly improve living standards in the republic,” – Kadyrov said. He added: “It is necessary to enjoy credits facilities, attract foreign investment and specialists, and improve our cultivation technologies too. We should find a particular way of developing our agriculture. It is necessary to keep up with the times and find the new mechanism for agriculture development.” Kadyrov called on to follow an excellent example of Turkey’s agriculture development. The president noted that the members of the Agriculture Development Department should be more attentive to the organization of their work. The vice-chairman of the Chechen Republic Government, the Chechen Republic Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Edelgeriev, informed that his ministry had coordinated the Chechen Republic Agriculture Development Program with the Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture.  A.Edelgeriev assured that there would be a bumper crop of cereals in the republic this year.
