 Tuesday, August 31, 2010 The contest called “Readers of the KORAN” was held in Madrasa named for Gabis located in Nizhny Noiber, ChR. This contest was held in memory of the first (former) Chechen Republic president, Akhmat-Hajji Kadyrov. There were three nominations for: best reading of the KORAN’s sura; best reading of the KORAN with rules using; best reading the KORAN between graduates of the Summer School of Islam.
Three winners were decided in each nomination. The Chechen Muslim Clerics’ Department gave the winners valuable presents.“Holding such a useful religious contest is a traditional event.
